Tullyroan Oval - Latest Pics |
On Tuesday night I had my first trip to Tullyroan since last October, I’m pleased to say it looks a little more like a Stockcar track now (or a Hot Rod track, depending on your perspective), and what a sight it is for sore eyes.
Firstly, I’d point out that my next blog piece was going to be a look back on the Nuttscorner Oval era, but that piece has now been put aside for the Tullyroan Oval programme, and a honour to have a piece in the first programme. On to Tullyroan, I have to admit to being a little sceptical about the extra mileage, the extra journey time, the clash it will cause with the football, in fair weather when the Glens look like a watchable side, but having been quite blown away by the track, the viewing areas of the track and hearing of some of the plans for what is still to come, it’s going to be some spot.
If you haven’t already been down, I’d suggest you stick some old clothes on, get down there, have a look around, and Davy will find you a paintbrush and there is a wall and some kerbs need painted.
