C.D.T.E.C Rosemount 2012 |
The County Down Traction Engine Club held their annual run and show at Rosemount in Greyabbey in on the weekend of the 11th and 12th of August. Somehow it managed to be staged on what was perhaps the best Friday and Saturday of the year weatherwise, which certainly added to the enjoyment of it.
The vintage run itself was only the third I’ve done this year and was probably the least enjoyable I’ve done, with a crawling pace on the gravel lanes and a flat out pace on the roads (flat out isn’t very quick on a Massey 35, but it’s quick enough that it’s not very relaxing).
There was a great turn out of cars, tractors, military vehicles, lorries, steam engines and trade stalls.
