| NIF2 is back! - Our Goals for 2011 |
First of all welcome back, secondly apologies for the lame choice of image to accompany the post.
I sat back throughout 2010 thinking that I wanted to have my own site again, I wanted to write something a bit different, and I wanted to put a site together like my site started off in 2001, something a bit more light hearted and a bit less official than the official sites. Darren Black (Nuttscorner Oval) and Colin Arbuthnot (Ballymena Raceway) do a fantastic job keeping the official websites up to date, so the web doesn’t need me replicating news, results and fixture information.
What is going to be on NIF2 then? I hear you ask. Well, last season I took in a total of 50 meetings, events and shows, I contributed galleries to 9 websites through the season, even I couldn’t track where all my galleries had ended up. I’m still going to contribute to other sites this season, but my own site will centralise where all the photos went, and the pick of the shots will be featured on the site, in much the same way as they would have been in the early days of the site.
I’ll add a few lines about each meeting too as we go.
Throughout the season I’ll try and add some different content, old photos, old reports, different angles on oval racing and photos.
I’m open to suggestions and contributions, if anyone wants to write a few words, send in photos, or digital art, screen grabs of online racing shots or anything which doesn’t fit really fit into the forte of the official sites. New car shots are also welcome.
All being well there will be a few updates a week.
