Superstox Steal the Show at Tullyroan |
On a damp and drizzling night at Tullyroan it was the Superstox that stole the show at Tullyroan Oval.
Since their introduction at the start of last season the Superstox have been on the up and up in car numbers, and at times have come in for a bit of criticism that they have been lacking in contact and a bit roundy roundy. That was a far cry from the case at Tullyroan last night when the Supers stole the show and put on three fantastic races.
The opening heat seen a win for Gary Grattan when he fired Nathan Beattie in the last bend to take the lead and the win. Heat two seen a few race stoppages before Kyle Beattie took and landed a lunge at Gary Grattan from a long way back in the last bend, taking them both wide and allowing Grattan to hold on to the win. The final was the race of the night in my opinion with both Grattan brothers, Kyle Beattie and Jeff Minish having a fantastic scrap, Kyle Beattie eventually coming out victorious.
As National Hot Rod qualifying comes closer to it’s conclusion, there was an opening heat win for Keith Martin, Andrew Murray took the second heat and Glenn Bell took the win in the final.
In the Stock Rods Colm O’Sullivan took his second final win “up North” in as many meetings, while Jordan Robinson took the honours in the Juniors.
