Some of my Fav Photos from 2014 |
I'd been working on a piece on my favorite photos for a while, but I've been back and forth over the same pics time and time again and it seemed a shame to filter it down to too few and daft to upload 100s. Over the next few days I'll upload my top 15 of the year, but here are the ones that almost made the cut, in no particular order, but let's say they were 16-30.

Taken later on in the season on a Sunday afternoon, this was one of my favorite Superstox shots of the year. |
A rare sun drenched Aghadowey Oval on the big re-opening Easter Monday meeting |
The 2 Litres line up for their European at Lochgelly. |
I think this was the first race for the newly formed Thunder Rods at Aghadowey on the opening day, while the start/ finish was freshly painted. |
Joel McPeake makes a few appearences in my favourite photos, this is the first, dancing his Ninja Kart around the bottom bend at Tullyroan |
Ryan Wright was a busy man on this particular evening, taking time to both commentate and do start marshall during this Robins race. |
A big field of anything always looks great from the NIOvalTV filming platforms, here are the ProStocks at Aghadowey, I think from their European Championship meeting |
Another from early in the season at Aghadowey, the outgoing Lightning Rod World Champion being pursued by the incoming one. |
The rise and fall at Aghadowey give you an angle I like to get a photo of the car going along the backstraight when it's raised in relation to where you stand, giving you what seems like a nice low shot, a change from shooting down at them. |
The grid for the Stock Rod European Championship, taken with a long exposure to really bring through the colour and atmosphere. |
Probably more of a happy accident than an intentional result, but the colours came out really well in this shot. |
The Lightning Rods around Aghadowey, Mark Corry leading one of the Laffin cars at a nice angle to see the drivers working at the wheel |
A nice line of colourful 2 litres await a restart at Tullyroan |
A line of Nationals at Ballymena, during one of the last meetings of the season. The line filling the length of the straight and the shot. |
Joel McPeake again, this time rounding Molly Heatrick, this time off the ground. |
