McMullan Hat-Trick at Tullyroan |
Greg McMullan complete a hat trick of wins in the second round of the ProStocks McElmeel Mobility services series at Tullyroan on Sunday, while there was heat and final doubles for Karl Smyth (Thunder Rods), Sam McNeice (Ninja Karts) and Drew McKeown (Junior Productions) while Ryan Stewart picked up win in a lively 1300 final.
There isn’t really much I can add to a report other than list the winners. The Ninja Karts put on some great racing as they have been doing in recent weeks and it again went to the line between McFall and McNeice in the final, this time with McNeice taking the win.
The ProStocks had two cracking heats, but at a cost of reduced car numbers for the final and with the grid decided on points from the heats putting the fastest men to the front the final wasn’t a classic.
The Thunder Rods were well down on the numbers you’d expect at Aghadowey, but Karl Smyth showed that his mk5 Astra works extremely well on the outside and took a heat and final double.
In the Juniors Drew McKeown won a heat and the final which was a hard fought win when himself and Chris Knipe who was second caught traffic in the closing laps.
Despite the fact the 1300s have dropped back down into single figure car numbers, they still put on some great action racing throughout the afternoon, it’s just a shame the big grids of cars didn’t last.
Next stop for most people is Ipswich, if you’re racing then Good luck, if you’re spectating have a good one. I’m having a much needed weekend off!
