2011 - #7 - Nuttscorner Oval 25/4/2011 |
Great weather, big fields of cars, great racing at Nuttscorner Oval on Easter Monday.
Another fine display of what is great about our wee sport at Nuttscorner Oval on Easter Monday.
Twelve National Hot Rods with plenty of action, three and even four wide racing at one point showed the class at it's very best. John Christie took a popular heat 1 win, with Glenn Bell taking heat 2 and Ian McReynolds taking the final.
Twenty Lightning Rods provided a great display too, with plenty of action throughout the field. It was good to see Andrew Percy back in the class as well as Winston Weir, a new car for Gordy McKee and a visiting driver in the form of Ritchie Whelan. The heat wins in the lightning rods were shared between Jason Devlin and Aaron Stewart, before Kenny Robinson took the win in the final.
The 2 Litre Hot Rods had the largest grid of the day with 25 cars in action Sean Dynes debuted his new Saxo, while Andrew Murray, Adam Hylands and Ed Litter all displayed freshly signwritten cars.
Adam Best took the opening heat, with Bradley Dynes picking up heat two and the final.
The Juniors seen a final win for Derek Martin, and Billy McClean took the honours in the Robins.
