2011 - #43 - Nuttscorner Oval - 22/10/11
The final meeting in the Nuttscorner Oval season and another night of standing in the wet on the infield. It seems like a long time since there has been an all dry meeting, we got some cracking weather in the early part of the season and in recent weeks it has been wet meeting after wet meeting. At least it wasn't a wet as it had been in the afternoon anyway. The Bangers were a little disapointing, I think it was probably the poorest National Banger meeting there has been at Nuttscorner and perhaps a worrying trend that I keep thinking that meeting after meeting this season. The ProStocks Irish championship was welcomed on track with a fairly heavy shower which continued throughout the race. Billy Finnegan took a comfortable win over Davy Morrison, with Neil Capper promoted to third after Adrian McKinstry who was third over the line was docked for jumping a start, I think. Stephen Emerson took the final in the Lightning Rods, while Shane Murray took the honours in an action packed 2 Litre final, which was probably the race of the night. Shane was only 4th over the line, but awarded the win after the first three had all been black crossed and docked two places.
