Added: 04 Dec 2016 Category: 2016 Oval Racing Things I'm Looking forward to in 2016 - Revistied Between Stockcar fixtures and Autograss fixtures as well as running a grass car, or at least driving it back and forward to Gary Grattan’s between fixtures, I had decided at the start of the year I’d cut back on writing meeting reports to save myself some work on normal fixtures, the problem being it’s the bigger meetings that I was going to continue to write about that bring me the most work and it all quickly resulted in me writing pretty much nothing from around June, bar the odd piece for the DMC programmes. Down the years there has been a number of cars that haven't conformed to what has been the norm for the era, some have worked, some didn't. Here are a look back at some from the NIF2 era [see the full article] Added: 10 Apr 2016 Category: Anything Else Circuit of Ireland SS10 & SS14 With Autograss racing cancelled due to the weather I got a chance to take in a few stages of the Circuit of Ireland. It’s a lot of years since I’ve taken in any of the Circuit and I had expected it would now have got to the stage that H&S would have made you stand that far back from the stages that you’d need the wind to blow in the right direction to even be able to hear them. Thankfully that proved to be a misconception and refreshingly I was able to take photos quite close to the action without needing to be dressed up in enough hi-viz that I could be mistaken for someone going to a 90’s rave.
