And the Year Was..... 2012 |
I consider 2012 to have been a modern golden era of local oval racing, a time when many classes where getting car numbers in the 20’s, the promotions worked together and you got to see better racing everywhere and Tullyroan opened which spread the footprint of the sport and brought it back to the doorstep of Portadown where the sport had a good following.

1995 F2 British Championship |
1995 – ebay was born, Robson & Jerome topped the charts with Unchained Melody, Blackburn won the Premier League, Arsenal broke the British Transfer record paying 7.5m for Marc Bergkamp, South Africa won the Rugby World Cup and Northern Ireland last hosted a major championship for the F2’s.

Something a Bit Different |
Down the years there has been a trend in most classes, someone does something different or comes out in a different car and if it works then everyone has one the following season, if it doesn't or something else works better then it doesn't last long.
