2011 - #26 - Nuttscorner Oval - 6/8/2011
After the dizzy heights of the speedweekend the first meeting back at nuttscorner felt a little subdued, but at least I got a clear run of traffic. My missing camera flash also turned up, in the bottom of my bag, complete with flat batteries. Shattered from a tractor run earlier in the day and complete with a busting headache it's fair to say I probably couldn't have seen it far enough. [see the full article]

The biggest weekend in the Northern Ireland oval racing calendar arrived. The 2011 Speedweekend kicked off, with the 2 Litre World final qualifying heats, the Lightning Rods British Qualifying heats, The ProStocks Irish Open Championship, The National Hot Rods, Juniors and Robins all in action. What makes the Speedweekend Special?
We’ve almost arrived at the Jewel in the Crown of our local Oval Racing season, the Speedweekend. This year marks the seventh running of the Nuttscorner Oval Speedweekend and compared to the big weekends on the mainland, it is only in it’s infancy, yet the new facility at Tullyroan means it could well be the last Speedweekend held at the Co. It's hard to beleive we are already knocking on the door of Speedweekend season, and that this was my 20th meeting of the year. Practice day provided a chance to play around with camera setting and different angles, before returning to the usual post for the racing. [see the full article]
